A calmer way forward

Kinpilot

Helping children build independence. Supporting the families who love them.

Routines. Progress. Independence.

The everyday challenge

You remind them.
They forget.
There is a better way.

Children who struggle with working memory, task initiation, or transitions are not uncaring or incapable. Often, they need the next step to be visible.

Kinpilot moves routines out of a parent's mental load and into a calm, consistent system a child can learn to trust. It helps parents shift from constant reminder to supporter, coach, and encourager.

Our story

Kinpilot was born in our home.

Kinpilot wasn't born from venture capital. It was born in our home.

We are Allen & Jenn, parents of six incredible children. Like many families, our days revolve around school, sports, homework, chores, dinners, and trying to keep everyone moving in the same direction.

Some of our children have ADHD and executive functioning challenges. They are bright, creative, compassionate, and capable children who simply experience routines differently.

Brush your teeth. Don't forget your backpack. Where are your shoes? Did you turn off your lights?

Those reminders came from love, but eventually we realized we had quietly become our family's calendar, reminder system, planner, timer, organizer, and memory.

Allen first built a shared digital family calendar inspired by popular touchscreen devices. It solved scheduling, but it didn't solve executive functioning.

Our children still weren't executing because it wasn't a dedicated hardware system that lived where they were and cut through the noise of other distractions.

Instead of asking, "How can we remind our children more?" we began asking, "How can we help them need us less?" That simple question became the foundation of Kinpilot.

Our children didn't need us to remember everything for them. They needed a way to begin remembering for themselves.
